Students learn how to fall safely beginning with simple rolling.
Forward and backward rolls from standing are very good for building and extending Ki.
Students are only expected to do this when they physically able to and confident.
With more confidence, its thrilling and fun!
The forward roll requires expressing ki throughout the body to roll like a ball.
This gives confidence to attack intently knowing that, if thrown, you can not only fall safely, but feel emboldened to attack again!
